The Netherlands American Council for Trade Promotion (NACTP) of the NCH and ARCUSplus will organize two Round Table sessions in Apeldoorn and Rotterdam on March 18 and 19 respectively, for Dutch companies seeking to set-up a business operation in the United States. These round tables will be organized on behalf of and in close cooperation with the State of Illinois West European Office that will highlight the state’s competitive advantages as a location from where to do business.

The State of Illinois has a strong track record of winning international investments from both within the USA and around the world. It is the most successful state in the Midwest in attracting foreign direct investment and the 4th most successful in the nation. Illinois already attracted 1,596 foreign firms based in 5,320 locations and employing 288,700 Illinois residents directly.

We would like to invite you to these Round Table sessions, to gather information, exchange ideas and listen to what some experienced entrepreneurs have to say on various aspects of doing business in Illinois. Ms. Sharon Stead, Managing Director of the West European Office and her colleague Siobhan Lysaghtwill be available to answer any questions about the Illinois’ economy, infrastructure, industries, business climate, real estate, costs of setting-up and running a business, tax and business incentives, etc.  They will also talk about their extensive network of professional service providers based in Illinois that offer a range of services required by a foreign company entering the U.S. market.

Trade Mission for Dutch cleantech enterprises

Commissioned by NL EVD International, Cleantech Holland will organize a trade mission to the United States from November 15-19, 2010 for Dutch companies in urban development and the sustainable energy and building industry. Cleantech Holland works closely with ARCUSplus, Eunite and the Energy Transition Platform in order to offer a balanced program to the participants that will result in many new trade contacts, and will render insight in the trends, developments and opportunities in the United States. Participants will travel to, among others, Chicago, a city that is well known for its cleantech environment, attend the Green Build Expo Chicago and meet with possible clients or partners. Other mission destinations will be determined in a later phase – New York City and/or Washington DC.
